I came across this name: "Namaste" when a friend of mine signed off with it this morning. I had to look it up real fast to not look stupid and I thought wow this is really a very cool saying. I have seen the symbol on tattoos and other deigns but really never knew the meaning of "Namaste". So I have included some of the things I have found on-line - Enjoy... :)
In Hinduism it is believed that God is present everywhere. Every person whether good or bad has God inside them. By saying Namaste means "I bow to the divine in you".
Namaste is usually spoken with a slight bow and hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest. This gesture is called Añjali Mudrā or Pranamasana.[3] The greeting may also be spoken without the gesture or the gesture performed wordlessly, carrying the same meaning.
